Courses for Teaching Assistants

We offer teacher training courses for Teaching Assistants of all departments. They address the different roles of Teaching Assistants and the associated tasks.

"Learning to teach"

"Learning to Teach" is mostly an online course. Mandatory workshops are organised at the end of the semester. More information and the registration link is available in the ETH course catalogue. When attending "Learning to teach" 1 ECTS can be earned.

"Ready, set, go!" A short introduction for Student Teaching Assistants

This is an online course that participants can work through at their own pace. The course addresses the most important competencies that Student Teaching Assistants need, for example reflecting on their teaching role, planning student engagement and monitor the students' learning progress.

Coaching Students

This course enhances Student Teaching Assistants in their role as student coaches to develop basic knowledge about coaching methodology and the mindset of a coach. Participants develop coaching skills and methods to effectively guide individual students and especially teams of students (working groups) in their working and learning processes. When attending "Coaching Students" 1 ECTS can be earned.
