Annalisa Manera named Fellow of the American Nuclear Society
Annalisa Manera, Professor of Nuclear Safety and Multiphase Flows in the Department of Mechanical and Process Engineering (D-MAVT), has been named a Fellow of the American Nuclear Society (ANS).
Annalisa Manera receives this award for her outstanding contribution to thermal hydraulics field, particularly for its application to nuclear reactor safety. According to ANS, her most significant contributions include high-resolution thermal hydraulics experiments and the development of innovative multiphysics and multiscale computational fluid dynamics-based tools for nuclear applications.
Founded in 1954, the American Nuclear Society comprises approximately 10,000 experts and 80 member organizations from science and engineering in the field of nuclear technology and nuclear physics.
Annalisa Manera has been an ANS member since 2013. She was honored as an ANS Fellow during the opening plenary session of the American Nuclear Society’s Annual Meeting on 12 June 2023.
