Dismantling the CLW network

On Friday, 20.12.24, the floor switch swi-clw-a3-a will be dismantled. All rooms in the CLW building are affected. The building will be completely handed over.

Network interruption Thursday, December 19, 2024 from approx. 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 a.m. in the ETF Komraum D2.2 building

On Thursday, December 19, 2024 from approx. 06:00-08:00 there will be a network interruption due to an access switch extension in the ETF building.
The floor switch swi-etf-d2-2-a (floors C, D, E) is affected by this interruption.
Rooms:

C1 - C4 and C100.003 - C110
D2.1, D2.2, D8.0021, D100.002 - D109.3
E1, E4, E100.003 - E108

Interent Gateway Lifecycle

The two core routers for the internet connection need to be replaced as part of the lifecycle. At the same time, the Internet connection will be increased from 40Gb/s to 400Gb/s.
On Thursday, January 9, between 06:30 and 07:15, the 'standby' router in the centrum will be replaced.
Internet traffic will initially be routed via the 'standby' connection. The replacement should therefore be possible without interruption.

Internet Gateway Lifecycle Hoengg

The two core routers for connecting to the Internet need to be replaced as part of the lifecycle. At the same time, the Internet connection will be increased from 40Gb/s to 400Gb/s.
On Wednesday, January 8, between 09:00 and 10:00, the 'standby' router in the Hoengg will be replaced.
As this router is only active in the event of a fault, no impact on the network is expected.

Spectrum Scale NAS22 CES changes at H?nggerberg location from 02.12.2024 from 7 pm until 11:30 pm

On the Spectrum Scale system (NAS22) at the H?nggerberg  location we are planning some parameter changes on the access servers (CES) from 02.12.2024 at 7:00 pm until 11:30 pm.

This action is a follow-up of the last update. All actions that could be critical for the availability of the NAS service will only be carried out after 7 pm.

NAS12 backend storage update at Zentrum location 18.11.2024 from 7.00 pm until 21.11.2024 5 pm

On the Spectrum Scale system (NAS12) at the Zentrum location, a software update of the backend storage systems is planed from 18.11.2024 at 7:00 pm to 21.11.2024 5pm.

This action is part of a regular update. In principle, this update should be without interruptions for the NAS Service. All actions that could be critical for the availability of the NAS service will only be carried out after 7 pm.

We will inform you as soon as the updates are installed.
