Why do we have less and less time – despite technological progress – and how can we handle the constant acceleration? How does our brain learn and deal with today's digital sensory overload? And last but not least: Is learning the answer to a possible crisis of meaning?
Food for thought
These and many other exciting questions will be the focus of the #StayCurious event from 19 to 21 November (see also Internal news from 18 June 2024). The nine sessions on offer are an ideal opportunity for all ETH employees to immerse themselves in current topics relating to lifelong learning in a variety of ways and gain new perspectives.
Over three days, a wide range of experts will provide insights and practical examples. You can look forward to the following programme highlights:
- 19 November, Audimax: Opening and discussion with time researcher and bestselling author Hartmut Rosa, followed by an exchange over coffee and cake.
- 20 November, online: Panel discussion on leadership and lifelong learning, with Bernhard Heusler, former president of FC Basel, among others.
- 21 November, Dozentenfoyer: Talk with the work researcher and philosopher Hans Rusinek about crises of meaning at work and learning as a possible response, followed by an aperitif.
The detailed programme with all nine input sessions and the registration form are linked below.
Take this opportunity for personal development and register for #StayCurious. Participation is free of charge and is supported by team managers. The event is aimed at all employees, whether you work in research, as a technical-administrative employee or as a manager – take the time to participate.
